2026 Steam Spring Sale Recap

The Steam Spring Sale ends today, and I thought it'd be fun to recap what I bought and downloaded.  This sale, I was super cheap, and only sprung for cheap, silly games.

My first purchase was Placid Plastic Duck Simulator.  This is a really chill 3d experience where you watch ducks float around a pool, and every few minutes, a new, unique duck is added.  I got it for 1$, but it's regular price of 2$ is still very reasonable and worth it.

After trying some demos, I got these two games from the same developer, Magical Greenhouse and Trinket Bag Maker.  Both are really simple and have a cute aesthetic with a color palette I really enjoy.  I think I spent 7$ on both.

I already own and enjoy a game called Calico, so when I saw it had DLC, I picked it up.  I only spent a few bucks on this.
My last two games were both 90% off, so I got them for 3$, Cottonville and Totally Accurate Battle Simulator.  TABS is an older game I've enjoyed watching other people play on Youtube, and always wanted it but never pulled the trigger until now.  Cottonville has chibis and was suggested to me by Steam for only a dollar, so yeah, I own it now.

I also downloaded a metric ton of Ypress VN demos, because I want all their games, but do I really want all their games?  I dunno, but I have to beat the demos before I can buy the full versions to be sure!

All in all, I spent around 20$, I think.  I wanted to stock up on VNs, but I'm gonna be hard on myself and wait until I've finished more of my backlog!
