I set some really lofty goals for this year, media wise. I wanted to finish and review 1 book, 1 vn, and 1 cartridge game each month. So far, every review I've posted this year is media I already played or read and finished last year or earlier. I have a crazy amount of goals this year, between my writing, my art, my dolls, and my backlog, but I don't think I should give up just yet.
Books. Having a Kindle Unlimited subscription was really making it hard for me to lock in on books to finish and review, too many choices and all that. So, I cancelled my sub, bought a group of books I was enjoying, and have been reviewing those so far. I don't feel behind on this and I think I can keep it up, especially now that projects in other areas have been completed.
Visual Novels. I have really been struggling to just sit down and read, but I'm not giving up. I still really want to summarize each NekoPara volume and finish that series, then get cracking on other VNs I've bought but not read. It's been excruciatingly hard to not buy more VNs when they go on sale, because there's a lot and I want them all, but I am spending less money than I otherwise would, for sure.
Console Games. I'm doing particularly bad at this. I don't give myself enough time, because the Time To Beat numbers aren't reflective of my skill level or play style. I need to stop using those estimates to guess how much time I need and give myself more time to read and play. I gave up on this goal last year, but I'm not giving up this year.
Anime/TV. I didn't write it down anywhere, but I've made an effort to watch more anime and TV when I find something that catches my eye. It's really fucking hard for me. Maybe I need more ADHD meds... Currently, there's 2 BL titles airing on Crunchyroll, and 1 scheduled for the spring. Maybe I should just wait for them to finish coming out and binge the whole season. I'm also trying to watch more media available tied to doll lines I'm involved in or interested in. You know what? Even though I haven't finished anything, I'm still putting in the effort and giving myself credit! I've watched a few episodes of Office Worker Isekai and about half of the new Winx Club reboot. That's pretty darn good for me.
